Millfield English Language Holiday Courses
One of the unique features of Millfield School is its wide range of language programs. Here, children can not only improve their English but also prepare for studying at a British secondary school. Additionally, the school offers the opportunity to combine language study with exciting excursions and specialised sports programs.
Possible Academic Programs:
General English: Participants of the summer school will undergo an online test and be assigned to the appropriate group. Special emphasis is placed on speaking skills. At the end of the course, students will have the opportunity to take the Trinity College London speaking exam and receive an international certificate.
Academic English: This program offers language learning through academic subjects such as mathematics, English language, geography, history, and natural sciences. Students will also develop key academic skills, including critical thinking, note-taking, time management, presentation skills, essay writing, and reading.
Global Learning: This course is available for children with at least a B2 level of English. The lessons are delivered in the form of hour-long lectures, attended by about 60 students. The language is taught through discussions on various current world issues, with a new theme and focus each week.
English Plus: This course is an extension of the “General English” program, where students can also choose one of the following topics:
- English Literature – Developing analytical skills through the study of various literary texts. Weeks 1 and 3.
- Presentation Skills – Preparing and delivering a presentation. Weeks 2 and 5.
- Debate Skills – Exploring topics, discussion, and various debate formats. Weeks 4 and 6.
