CATS Cambridge is located in the beautiful city of Cambridge, renowned for its rich history and the presence of world-leading universities, including the University of Cambridge, ranked among the top two universities globally. The city is not only an academic hub but also a technological center, home to numerous scientific and tech companies.

With excellent transport links, London is just a 45-minute journey away. The college campus is situated almost in the heart of Cambridge, close to the University of Cambridge, providing students with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the city’s educational and cultural life.

 

Program Options

STEM and English for Science

This program is designed for students passionate about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It combines STEM-focused subjects with English language studies, helping participants develop skills essential for a successful career in the STEM field. The program emphasizes critical thinking, teamwork, and solving real-world problems.

Participants will engage in lectures, workshops, and scientific English lessons, as well as visits to local attractions. The program covers diverse topics, such as:

  • Masterclasses in Physics with guest lecturers.
  • LEGO Robotics.
  • Rocket science and combustion.
  • Programming.

Students will also participate in hands-on lab demonstrations to apply theoretical knowledge in practice.

 

Program Highlights

By the end of the program, students will:

  • Gain deeper insights into STEM subjects.
  • Develop practical skills both in and outside the lab.
  • Enhance their teamwork abilities.

English language lessons will focus on improving all four skills—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—alongside mastering scientific vocabulary and grammar. English language instruction is provided by the renowned Stafford House language school.

Language Requirements: Intermediate level (B2) or above is recommended.

 

Excursions and Activities

Students will enjoy one full-day excursion per week, which may include visits to London, Warwick Castle, or Canterbury. Additionally, they will have opportunities to explore places like the Science Museum, the National Space Centre, or Bletchley Park.

Each day concludes with exciting evening activities designed to help students connect and bond with new international friends.

Accommodation

Students will stay in the school residences. All rooms are cozy and well-lit. Each campus has a House Parent (a dedicated staff member responsible for the residence and the well-being of the students living there) available 24/7. The campus also offers common areas for leisure activities, as well as Wi-Fi access.

£3,240 for 2 weeks – STEM and English for Science (English for Science)

The price includes:

  • Academic subject lessons.
  • Academic English instruction.

  • Educational visits (which may include the National Space Centre, the Science Museum, and the “Life in Motion” show at the IMAX cinema).
