Admission to the University of Westminster through the IYO Program

“The Academic Advisor helped me gain admission to the University of Westminster. It was an incredible experience – everyone on the team was incredibly communicative, attentive to my preferences, and offered the most comfortable and ideal options based on my needs. Working with them was a pleasure; all that was required from me were my details, documents, and preferences – they took care of everything else. The best part was receiving a comprehensive final letter, where all the essential information and a step-by-step guide for next steps were included. I am incredibly grateful! Talking with other Ukrainian students who applied through other agencies, I felt deeply thankful for choosing The Academic Advisor. Many of them had no idea about the scores they’d need upon completing Kaplan or what steps to take after arrival. Thank you so much!”

Successful Admission to the International Year One (IYO) Program at KICL with Progression to BSc (Hons) Business Management (Marketing) at the University of Westminster

Scholarship Awarded: £1,500

Why Our Team Recommended This Option:

  • International Year One Program Availability: Unlike the more common Foundation program, the IYO program is less frequently offered and was the perfect fit for our student. Foundation wasn’t considered as her priority was to reduce the years of study while still benefiting from added support during her first year. Our goal was to find a strong IYO program with a clear progression path into a university known for its robust business faculty. The combination of a year at Kaplan International College London, followed by direct entry into the second year at the University of Westminster, proved ideal.
  • Strong Business School: Business is one of the University of Westminster’s top fields. The faculty holds prestigious accreditations from associations like the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), among others.
  • Professional Connections: The University of Westminster has established relationships with numerous companies that regularly recruit students and graduates.
  • Extracurricular Opportunities: Each year, the university hosts over 100 guest lectures featuring speakers from global companies like IBM, Coca-Cola, LinkedIn, and more.
  • International Environment: The University of Westminster is among the top 10 most international universities in the UK.

Comprehensive Support from The Academic Advisor:

Our student’s case was a familiar one. After completing part of a bachelor’s program in Ukraine, Mariia realised she wanted to switch her field to business and marketing. We recommended the IYO route, which essentially acts as the first year of a bachelor’s degree while preparing international students for a new academic system – exactly what Mariia needed as she had no prior overseas study experience and required additional support.

Maria contacted us in late March 2024, a relatively late stage in the application season, giving us around five months to arrange her admission. In the first month, we selected potential institutions and compiled the necessary documents. Shortly after, we received her offer of admission! Following that, we focused on organizing everything ahead of her studies. In September, Maria successfully began her studies in London!

Admission to the Pre-Master’s Program at Queen’s University Belfast

“I reached out to Veronika and Yuliia on my sister’s recommendation – she had already successfully been admitted to the University of Bath. First, I had a call with Veronika, during which we discussed all the details, and I realized that with my completed bachelor’s degree, direct entry to a master’s program wasn’t possible. Veronika immediately suggested applying via a Pre-Master’s program, and I agreed without hesitation. From that point, Veronika and Yuliia took care of everything, from selecting suitable programs to providing invaluable advice. Ultimately, I chose the Pre-Master’s at Queen’s University Belfast, tailored to my specific needs. I’m writing this review now from my first orientation session at the university. I want to thank Veronika and Yuliia for their help with my admission – I honestly don’t think I could have done it on my own. To sum up, their work was professional and genuinely attentive to my interests. Thank you again!”

International Year One at Nottingham Trent University

“One year ago, we had an incredible consultation that marked the beginning of an exciting journey into the world of UK education! At that time, our family had a strong desire to provide our daughter with a good, high-quality education, but we had absolutely no idea where to start, how to choose the right field of study, what to look for when selecting a university, how to prepare a properly formatted application package, and a million other questions. We are so happy…”
